Modules correction #
Since Minimeter is based on the analysis of your ISP's page, when this page changes, Minimeter module specific to your ISP may not work anymore.
When a module encounters an error, it's necessary to check what has changed and correct the module.
Minimeter can, if allowed by the user, send automatically the necessary information to the developer.
The sequence is as follows:
- Your ISP's module encounters an error.
- Minimeter checks if you have enabled aid to the module correction.
- Minimeter checks if information is needed to correct the module.
- The last page from your ISP obtained by Minimeter is processed to remove your credentials. If you entered additional text, this text is also removed.
- The anonymized page is then sent to the developer.
The page is always cleaned from your credentials before being sent, but you can specify additional text to remove. Words or expressions must be separated by commas. Example: 02/12.34.56,John,Doo
In all cases, the information submitted to the developer will be kept confidential and won't ever be transmitted to third parties. It will only be used to correct the corresponding module.
Asking for new modules #
If support for your ISP isn't included yet, here's how to ask for it:
- Install LiveHTTPHeaders.
- Go to your ISP's usage meter page, disconnect from any session there could be on that page or close and restart your browser. Then go to the login page from your ISP.
- Click on
View>Sidebar>LiveHTTPHeaders.
- Click on
File>Save as... and select "Web Page, HTML only" as the type. Do this for each page you'll come across until your usage meter page (included).
- Then connect on your ISP's page to go to your ISP's usage meter page.
- At the bottom of the sidebar, click on
Save all... and choose as name "headers theNameOfYourISP.txt" (without the " and replace theNameOfYourISP by... you know what).
- Open the file "headers theNameOfYourISP.txt" and replace all occurrences from your login and password (entered at point 5) by respectively "mylogin" et "mypassword" then save it.
- Mail me those two files (zipped if possible) and indicate in the email the address from your ISP's login page (see point 2) and the address from your ISP's usage meter page (see point 5).

Minimeter version 1.1.2.2 ne marche pas avec Telenet (Belgique). La version précédente non plus. Lorsque je place le curseur de la souris au dessus du "meter", le message indique "Not connected to the internet", mais ce n'est absolument pas le cas.
