Description

SpellCheck is an extension for K-Meleon which allows to use the Seamonkey spellchecker. This one is available for all the input fields in K-Meleon, but it's obviously in text area that it will be the more usable.

All the job has been made by mark307, who have developped the kplugin used to interface the checker with K-Meleon.

Usable dictionaries are obviously english (en-US is the default language), but also all the available dictionaries used by Thunderbird, Seamonkey or OpenOffice.

The default dictionaries folder is 'dictionaries' under K-Meleon, but if you want to have a maximum number of available dictionaries without downloading it, you can change the dictionaries folder (OpenOffice folder for example), and you will magically have acces to a lot of dictionaries.

The spellchecker, as in a lot of programs, underlines the words which it considered as misspelled. But, noone is fail-safe, and the spellchecker too. Accord faults won't probably been found. In the same way, grammatical faults will also be completelly unperceived. But it's the same for all the spellcheckers, and in fact, this is only an help, and the better spellchecker is and will be the human.

Warning : The spellchecker, its shortcut and its menu will available, and only if, since a textarea.

No icon added.

Accels

Ctrl *, if called from an underlined word, will display a contextual menu with corrections, and also an acces to the config menu. If called since all other area of the text area (not underlined), will display the spellchecker config menu.

Known problems due to K-Meleon adaptation

No specific problem due to K-Meleon, except that it allows only a one word correction, and don't allows, as the openOffice spellchecker for example, to jump from mispelled word to misspelled word to continue the correction.
