K-Meleon Extension:

Description

IE Tab is an extension for K-Meleon which allows to open the current webpage or link in a tab of K-Meleon but with the Internet Explorer engine.

This extension is specially relevant for webmasters when testing new pages for which they need to see what it looks like in IE.

You can use it ponctually with page or link contextual menus, and also use a list of URL for which the Internet Explorer engine will be used by default.

! Warning : The webpages opened with IE Tab, even if opened in K-Meleon tab, are opened with Internet Explorer. In fact, it's only an Internet Explorer window inserted in K-Meleon. This mean that you use the entire Microsoft engine, with all which can go with : bugs, security faults ... The browser will also identify itself as IE, will execute JavaScript and ActiveX with IE engine. Accordingly, it's IE that you have in front of you. Don't believe to the 'Père Noël' ;-)

It is then obvious that all the extensions which works with gecko engine, as NoScript, AdblockPlus, ... for example, won't work here. Also, on pages opened with IE Tab, contextual menus will be the IE menus.
